I finished Pattie Boyd's autobiography around dawn this morning. I'd picked it up a few weeks ago after shamefully reading the last half in Barnes & Noble. I've always been interested in rock biographies, partly for research purposes and partly in an unending effort to understand what it was about the era of mid-sixties to mid-seventies that produced such an abundance of creative talent.

It's crazy how much the Internet has changed in the past few years, at least in terms of how & when people choose to reveal personal information. Even what constitutes personal information has changed. Back in the day, parents were encouraged to warn their children about the dangers of revealing their name and address to people online, to simply repeat the real-life mantra of not talking to strangers. Now the mere act of signing into a social networking profile or uploading a candid snapshot can reveal that and more to someone paying the wrong kind of attention.
